From 2019 to 2022 a collection of ideas and concepts began to merge through my own graphic design work where I had been using my own custom type for my clients. Over the years the shapes evolved and refined to suit the projects at hand. Aprello is an adapted and expanded type family from these works that is now released for public licensing. Aprello is a variable typeface that is flexible in relation to the medium, context or personal preference of the user. Multiple stylistic sets vastly change the typefaces appearance, the most noticeable being the different terminal construction in SS01 and the square or dotted tittles in SS05. In total there are over 150 alternative glyphs.

With multiple forms, tall x-height, vertical terminals, Aprello is highly legible from small to large for use in print and on screen. For the rerelease in 2024 under Why Foundry, Aprello received multiple updates and improvements.

Aprello is available in 6 weights Thin, Light, Regular, Medium, Semi-Bold and Bold (each with the corresponding italic version) Aprello is also available as a variable font.
